In Senate of the United States. August 7, 1846. Submitted, and ordered to be printed. Mr. Cass made the following report: The Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate, to whom was referred the memorial of sundry citizens of West Florida, formerly Spanish subjects, praying the passage of a law to carry into effect the 9th article of the treaty of 1819 with Spain, relating to losses sustained by the Spanish inhabitants of Florida by the operations of the American forces there previous to that treaty ; and to whom was referred the report of the Secretary of the Treasury made on the 15th of June last, (in compliance with a resolution of the Senate,) transmitting the original reports of the examinations of the claims for said losses by the judge of West Florida, report ..
